How much does shipping cost?Updated 5 days ago
(What you pay, why it costs that, and where it goes)
We don’t mark up shipping. What you pay at checkout is what the courier charges us — sometimes a bit less, depending on the order. We’re not trying to profit on postage, just get your bird to you quickly and safely without surprises.
Mainland USA (Contiguous 48 States)
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on package weight and delivery address
We ship with FedEx and DHL, depending on the location and service level
Most orders ship for between $9.99 and $19.99
Orders over $150 USD qualify for free standard shipping anywhere in the mainland US.
Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories
Shipping to these areas costs more because courier rates are significantly higher.
Unfortunately, these destinations aren’t eligible for free shipping. We don’t charge extra — just pass on what the courier charges us.
You’ll see the full cost at checkout. If anything looks off, feel free to ask.
Shipping to Canada
We do ship to Canada.
Rates vary depending on the weight of your order, your address, and the current exchange rate. These are shown at checkout before you finalize your order.
Delivery to urban areas is typically fast. Rural addresses may take a few extra days.
International Shipping
We ship globally, but international shipping costs depend on:
Your delivery country
The weight of the order
The rates charged by the courier
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout after you enter your shipping address.
Note: You may be charged import duties or taxes by your local customs agency. These are not included in our shipping fees and are paid directly to your country’s authorities on arrival.
If you’re outside the US, you might want to check out your local Metalbird site for better rates and regional bird designs:

If you have questions or something doesn’t look right at checkout, you can reach us through live chat, email us at [email protected], or leave a message via the website chatbot. We’ll be happy to check it for you.
