I'm travelling. Can I take my Metalbird on the plane?Updated 3 days ago
(Traveling With a Bird in Your Bag)
Yes, you can take a Metalbird with you - just not in your carry-on. These birds are made from solid Corten steel and have a sharp spike. That means airport security will treat them like a weapon. If you try to carry it on, they’ll very likely take it off you. You'd be surprised how many times we've heard this unfortunate situation happen!
How to Travel With a Metalbird:
1. Pack it in your checked baggage
Never in your carry-on. Checked only.
2. Wrap it properly
Use a layer of bubble wrap or a soft cloth.
Lay it flat against a hard surface (like the back of your suitcase) to prevent bending or damage in transit.
Will It Survive the Flight?
Yes — Metalbirds are tough. We’ve had birds cross oceans and continents with no issues, as long as they’re packed flat and checked in properly.
